We’re thrilled to have Mrs. Nichole Marchant returning to West Point! She teaches U.S. History, DEEP U.S. History and World Geography (and brings 29 years of experience, energy, and heart. Fun fact: she’s a live music lover who’s seen everyone from Bruno Mars to Broadway’s Hamilton!

We’re lucky to have Mrs. Katherine Arave returning to West Point! She teaches 8th & 9th grade English, including DEEP English 8, and serves as one of our Student Government Advisor. She brings a strong sense of community—and has even shaved her head to support her students!


We’re excited to have Mrs. Natalie Sills returning to West Point! She teaches 7th–9th grade Math and English, serves as our SPED Department Head, and coaches track. She’s lived in four countries on three continents and supports WPJH in so many amazing ways!


We’re so lucky to have Mrs. Kelsey Browning returning to West Point! She teaches FACS A, Sewing, and Interior Design for grades 7–9. She is also joining cheer this year as one of the Warrior Coaches and yes, she once did a backflip in her wedding dress!


Kristy Larsen one of our SPED teachers is excited about one lunch. She thinks that one lunch will be so good for our Warriors! No more worrying that you won't have your friend in your same lunch! Plus. now there won't be loud kids next to our classrooms while we are teaching!


We’re excited to have Mrs. Kristy Larsen back at West Point! She teaches Special Ed Language Arts and loves working with students because of their resilience, energy, and fun spirit. She is passionate about education and runs our amazing Cheerleaders. She’s a lifelong Star Wars fan and a proud supporter of all things Warrior!


Kelsey Browning one of our FACS teachers is excited for no advisory and to have longer classes this year. This way she is sure to see each student in her class and can help them with the extra time rather than trying to request kids and it not working out. She thinks we will get more out of class time this way.

With a teacher mom and counselor dad, helping students is in her DNA. Katrina loves watching students discover their “why” and grow into their potential.

Corbin is excited for one lunch because having the whole school open will help make fun lunchtime activities more fun and he is excited that he doesn't have to worry about interrupting classes going on.


West Point was represented in the Parade! WPJH Hope Squad, Cheer, and Student Government shared the new school year theme and got West Point excited to be Warriors!! Go Warriors!

London is excited for one Lunch because she feels it will make the lunchtime activities more fun! As one of our 8th grade SBO's she is excited that for activities they can use the gym and make activities more epic! She also feels like with one lunch everyone gets to be with all their friends and no one is left out!


Audrey next years 9th grade class president is excited for morere time in class with teachers she feels it will give everyone one on one time with teachers and will give students more opportunities to stay on top of their work!


Dax who is an incoming 7th grader is excited about having one lunch he has been worried about seeing his friends. Knowing he will be able to see them at least every day at lunch has made him less stressed about Junior High. Go Warriors!


Emma one of our 9th Graders is excited to have longer class periods and having no advisory will be so helpful. She is excited to be able to get the support she needs during her class period and not worry about getting requested in the right timeframe.

Katie Gabbitas is one of the incredible educators staying at West Point Junior High, and we couldn’t be more excited! She brings energy and heart to West Point as she teaches 7th and 8th grade ELA and advises the yearbook. Inspired by her favorite teacher, Mr. Fusselman, Katie became an educator to help students love learning as much as she does.
She loves being a Warrior because West Point is her home and her people. Her favorite part of teaching is building connections with students and making a difference in their lives. And for a fun fact? She sleeps with her bed pushed up against the wall, complete with a giant pillow corner—embracing her inner kid at heart!
